We're Moving
It's official, What's Brewin' will be moving to our
new location at 2752 47th St., on March 28th. Sunday,
March 25th will be our last day at our current location.
We will be closed Monday and Tuesday, March 26th and
27th, for the move. Wednesday, March 28th, will be our
first day open at our new location and we will assume
our regular business hours.

We've had a long history here on Bluff St., nearly
12 years. In early 1995 my father decided it was time
for What's Brewin' to move from its original location
on 8th and Pearl to a bigger and better location. In
May of 1995 What's Brewin' moved to a unit on the other
side of this building, 2886 Bluff St. We were in that
unit until June of 1998 when my father decided to move
into the space we are currently occupying. We've been
here ever since, and for the last couple of years it
has seemed increasingly necessary to move into a bigger,
better location. The new store is definitely bigger,
now we just have to see if it will be better, but we're
pretty sure it will be. Not very much will be changing,
so you can look forward to a similar setup, and the
good customer service that you've learned to expect
at What's Brewin'. Because the new store is right off
of Foothills Parkway, it should be more convenient for
most customers to get to compared to our current location.
The parking situation should also be a huge improvement.
Overall we really look forward to doing business in
the new store, it's a step towards maintaining a good
future for the oldest homebrew supply store in Colorado.
We're Hiring
We are sad to announce that Brian will be leaving What's
Brewin' at the end of March. Brian has been a wonderful
asset to us and to all of you, and we are definitely
going to miss him. That all being said, it appears that
there is a potential opportunity for any of you who
have been fantasizing about working in the exciting
and rewarding environment of a homebrew supply store.
The ideal candidate for the job will be a highly motivated,
hard working person, with a positive attitude, really
good people skills, and a good knowledge of home beer/wine/mead
making, with a strong desire to learn more. This job
requires frequent lifting of up to 75lbs, so you need
to be in good shape to work for What's Brewin'. The
position is part-time, probably around 20 hours a week,
weekends are mandatory. Tasks mainly consist of helping
customers, packaging, and cleaning. Pay starts at $9
per hour with an opportunity to make more depending
on knowledge and experience. Come into the store to
fill out an application if you are interested in the
position.
National Homebrewers Conference Competition
So you think you make good beer eh? Good enough to
stand against 4,500 other homebrews? Why not put your
best to the test in the world's largest beer competition,
the American Homebrewers Association's 29th Annual National
Homebrew Competition. If you're planning on being competitive
with your homebrew, then you don't want to miss this
one, this is the Super Bowl of homebrew competitions,
the Olympics of homebrewing. If you don't already have
something to enter, then you'll want to get started
ASAP, entries are due no later than 5pm on Friday, April
13 2007. We are NOT an entry drop off point, for a map
of drop off points by region, and for complete and detailed
information on this event, go to www.beertown.org.
